As has been previously well-documented, young drivers are much more at risk of having an accident than older ones.  The reasons for this are not necessarily related to a lack of actual driving skills but research has shown that they are more probably due to external influences,such as fatigue, peer presure (showing off) and more….

Sheffield City Council recently started an initiative called ‘Learn Safe, Drive Safe‘ and our instructors have undergone extra training in order to allow them to deliver this additional information to young learner drivers in an attempt to change attitudes, and therefore make them safer drivers in the long term.
